Mariano Steimberg He trained as a drummer with the help of the best teachers in Argentina, his native country. In 2012 he began working at the prestigious “Berklee College of music” in Valencia, Spain, as a professor of drums, Brazilian percussion and jazz and groove ensembles. During his years of teaching he has given workshops at Berklee Boston and played with some jazz figures such as Eddie Gomes, Victor Mendoza, Gary Willis, Polo Orti or Perico Sambeat. He is currently conducting several rhythm workshops both inside and outside Berklee, parallel to his career as a teacher and professional musician.

His latest album “The Only Light” is an album in the present tense, full of very personal songs with tremendously poetic lyrics that create the stories. It is, at the same time, a simple and complex album. Simple because its language is that of eternal jazz, with the added value of some musical developments that, when separating from the initial arrangement, draw waves of extreme beauty that shine in the rich orchestration of accompaniment provided by his usual band.
